Internship in Credit Risk Team

This Internship aims to provide an insight into the Credit Risk Control functions in area of Managed Funds.

The Credit Risk Control Managed Funds Team is responsible for creating new accounts and credit limits for various asset managers' mutual funds portfolio. It supports Credit Officers and Credit Analysts from London and Stamford, covering Northern America and Western Europe area. The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to London, Stamford and Krakow Teams responsible for the Managed Fund portfolio. 

This paid internship will last 6 months with possibility of extension. 

The candidate will be expected to work on a shift pattern (8:00-20:00) 

The role is located in the UBS office in Zabierzow (Krakow Business Park). 

All internship roles available on the website are part of the Internship Program at UBS in Krakow. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Processing new trading account/product/limit requests 
  • Ensuring that the portfolio data fields contain accurate information relating to counterparty static data, credit limits and ratings 
  • Updating asset managers’ groups’ spreadsheets 
  • Ensuring that all limit information, including the release of branches and products, is correct in the credit systems 
  • Accomplishing the annual reviews for asset managers’ groups of accounts in compliance with an established calendar 
  • Ensuring that all static data of credit counterparties in the systems not controlled by CRC is correct 
  • Following up with Risk Control Operations for corrections on erroneous data in the credit systems, basing on information from the client and website research 

Requirements: 
 

  • Last year student or graduate, preferably in a field related to business or finance 
  • Very good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Outlook 
  • Very good written and spoken English 
  • Strong attention to the detail 
  • Excellent numeric, analytical and data management skills 
  • Self-motivated with a positive 'can-do' attitude 
  • Availability to work around 40 hours per week 

 

Additional assets: 

  • Knowledge of VBA
